CIALIS serves as a therapeutic option for adult males experiencing erectile dysfunction (ED). ED is characterized by the inability to achieve or maintain an erection suitable for sexual activity. Clinical studies have demonstrated that CIALIS substantially improves the likelihood of attaining an erection during sexual stimulation.

This pharmaceutical product features tadalafil, which belongs to the class of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Upon sexual arousal, CIALIS facilitates the relaxation of blood vessels in the penis, leading to increased blood circulation, which contributes to improved erectile function. It is important to note that CIALIS necessitates sexual stimulation for effectiveness and does not induce an erection independently.

Prior to initiating treatment with CIALIS, it is essential to disclose to your healthcare professional if:

  • You have a known hypersensitivity to tadalafil or any components listed in section 6.
  • You are currently undergoing treatment with organic nitrates for angina or any nitric oxide donors, such as amyl nitrite.
  • You have a history of severe cardiac conditions or have experienced a myocardial infarction within the past 90 days.
  • You have suffered a stroke within the last half-year.
  • You have low blood pressure or poorly controlled hypertension.
  • You have previously experienced vision loss attributable to non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).
  • You are taking riociguat, a medication indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.

If you have any of the following conditions, engage in a conversation with your healthcare provider:

  • Sickle cell anemia
  • Multiple myeloma
  • Leukemia
  • Anomalies of the penis
  • Severe hepatic or renal impairment

CIALIS is contraindicated for use by women or individuals younger than 18 years.

Inform your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking, particularly:

  • Alpha blockers
  • Additional antihypertensive agents
  • Riociguat
  • 5-alpha reductase inhibitors
  • Medications for fungal infections
  • Anticonvulsant drugs such as phenobarbital

Minimize alcohol intake, as it may influence your ability to obtain an erection and could interact with CIALIS.

Adhere closely to the prescribed dosage of CIALIS as directed by your physician. Ingest the tablet whole, accompanied by water. The tablets can be administered with or without food.

Typically recommended initial dosage is 10 mg before engaging in sexual activity; however, if your healthcare provider has deemed a 20 mg dose appropriate, it may be due to the ineffectiveness of the lower dosage.

CIALIS may retain efficacy for up to 36 hours following administration but should not be taken more than once daily.

It is imperative to pair CIALIS with sexual stimulation to facilitate an erection.

As with all medications, CIALIS can lead to adverse effects, although not all individuals experience them. Common adverse effects may comprise:

  • Headaches
  • Back discomfort
  • Facial flushing
  • Congestion of the nasal passages
  • Dyspepsia

While severe adverse effects are rare, they can include sudden vision loss, an erection lasting more than 4 hours, or hearing impairment. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek immediate medical attention.

Keep this medication out of the reach of minors. Do not use beyond the expiration date indicated on the packaging. Store in the original container to guard against moisture, and avoid exposing it to temperatures exceeding 30°C.

  • The active component is tadalafil, with each tablet containing 20 mg of this ingredient.
  • Additional components include lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, and magnesium stearate.

CIALIS 20 mg is presented as a yellow, film-coated, almond-shaped tablet inscribed with "C 20" on one side.

The available packaging options consist of 2, 4, 8, 10, or 12 tablets.
