What are common side effects of sildenafil?
While adverse reactions to sildenafil are infrequent, some patients may experience mild and transient side effects. Commonly reported issues include headaches, increased light sensitivity, heartburn, mild gastrointestinal disturbances, sleep issues, changes in color perception, muscle soreness, spontaneous nosebleeds, and occasional tingling or numbness in extremities.
More serious adverse events can occur, albeit rarely. These may include severe chest pain, blurred vision, sudden ringing or loss of hearing, dizziness, fainting spells, rashes, urinary issues, difficulty breathing, or prolonged erections lasting more than four hours. It's crucial to contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of these serious side effects.
